yeah it was a screaming deal!!! I was about to go buy another one when this popped up on craigslist and he was asking 2k...I checked it out and and it was cherry!! I would have paid the 2k in a heartbeat...but I asked if he'd take $1800...and he said yes!!

it's been nearly 2 years and it still runs great!! (knock on wood)

That is awesome. Obviously he didn't know what he had. Those things go on ebay over 10 grand in bad condition.

So i limped it down to Les Schwab. They basically laughed at me because it was so out of alignment that they couldn't help me. I needed to add pivot point drop brackets and drop radius arm brackets. So I limped it back home and order the part from online...in the end this lift cost me more than it should have if I would have just bought the kit...oh well live and learn.

So once I got the parts I lifted the truck back up on the jacks and went to work...Once they were in the wheels looked way better. Schwaby was now able to align it...however I got a call from they telling me my ball joints were bad and the alignment wouldn't be acurrate. Since they were possibly the orignial ball joints I figured it have them do it...it took them a couple days and a heavier bill than I wanted...but she is now road ready and looking pretty good. The stance is way better than it was stock...What do you think?

Hey nice truck, but in your last picture it looks like its actually sitting higher in front than back. I dont know about you but I think they look better with the raked look.

This probject started with just adding a 2in add a leaf in the back and a 2in levelling spacer to the front coil. the back end actually came up 3 inches and the front got a 4 inch coil. I have been told that the front will settle a half to 1inch. So yeah I think the truck is pretty level and I am hoping that that front drops to give it a bit of a rake...if not ill have to change the rear stock spacer...it is like a 1.5in spacer right now. Or down the line I just change all the leaf springs out.

If you knew how much blood, sweat and swearing I put into this you'd stop raining on my parade

I got them from rough country. It is part number 7510 - Installation Kit. It cost 200 bucks...223.90 total with shipping. it includes the pivot point drop brackets for 4-6 in lift, as well as the drop radius arm brackets. You'll have to call in to get them as they only sell the whole kit online. it was really easy. I also got drop brackets for the sway bar for like 35 bucks.

Im sorry bout raining on ur parade. I dont mean to be a dick, I just want to use the experience I have had to help you prepare for what might happen. By the way are you planning on any other mods.

It's all good..If i knew I was doing a 4inch spring in the end I would have gone with a 3in add a leaf. I am wishing I would have done that already...I think it sits pretty level right now. i am more concerned about when it is loaded or when im pulling the boat. I need to find a level spot somewhere and see how the bed sits...in my opinion it is sitting pretty close to how it was when it was stock, only now it is higher. im pretty sure i put a picture of it on this thread of when it was stock. I may drive it to the 4wd shop and have them look and tell me what they think.

Other mods? Ive been thinking about just some simple things now...new head and tail lights, maybe a new grill, paint job (not sure what color though - I kind of like the white), going to make some decals for it with some kind of Ford Centurion Logo- Ive got a machine that I can make vinyl letter and logos her at home, etc...though now after the ball joints I am cash poor so everything is on hold for a while.
