I've been told that the dashboard of my 1996 F150 XLT must be removed in order to remove the driver's side upper door hinge, supposedly because one or more of the bolts holding the hinge to the body attach from the inside. I think this is nuts, but the owner of an auto body shop was the author of that statement, so rather than dismiss it outright, thought I'd ask those who really know....the lads of the F-150 Forum.

 

looks like 3 bolts to me... there on the out side
