Default 1994 cruise/speed control debugging

My cruise control is non-functioning and I have no idea where to start. I checked the fuse panel & that's about it. Any suggestions of where to begin/steps to follow are much appreciated.

Thanx Mike

Does your horn work? Is everything under the hood connected to the module? I've seen even newer ones run off of vacuum. If it has vacuum lines, are the lines good?
That's where I'd check before tearing into anything.

When mine stopped working it was only the cruise. Mine turned out to be a bad cutout switch on the master cylinder. Luckily for me the recall hadn't been done so I got a new one for free.

Well the horn works so I believe that confirms the power distribution relay is OK. Time to visually check under the hood.

Check the sensor that sits on top of your master cylinder towards the front of the truck. If that's leaking your cruise won't work. Look at the wiring running to it and if it doesn't have a blue sticker on it unplug it and get it to a dealer. Also if you have any of your three brake lights out it won't work either, hope this helps!
