Default 1992 Oil cooler, verify my efforts, please

Went to the local parts place today to get radiator hoses to replace mine. On the bottom hose, he asked if the truck had an oil cooler? I asked why and he said the bottom hose is different than the one that does not have a cooler. I told him I would have to check.

I got back home and sure enough on the passenger side between the radiator and the grill, there is a "cooler" in front of the AC coil, that is in front of the radiator. It is about 12-15" wide and 6-8" tall and has lines that went back under and to the passenger side of the engine.

The radiator does have the built in trans cooler lines, that I was familiar with. But the factory oil cooler was a new one for me.

5.8L, 4x4, flareside, automatic....this is the oil cooler, correct?

What would make the bottom hose different for this?

thanks in advance

Yep, it will scoot, and I like it more and more every day...62K original miles, garage kept, original hoses, belts and such. I hate to replace them, but at 20 years old, got to do it to drive it.

If I'm thinking right Get lower radiator hose for a Gen 1 lightning.. They have same setup..
But need to take a pic to show and confirm that..

Which filter does this truck take? Cause very late 93-94 the 351's switched to a FL820s..

Ok was just wondering.. Just in case if when ya go to change it and a FL1A doesn't fit it'll be a 820s..

The two legged freaky hose is for the oil cooler.Look for one of those in the lower hose.
