Default 1990 F150 bogs down

We have an 90 f150 on the farm that is bogging down and almost stalling when it is driven up a hill or under a load. Any ideas what to look for? Not sure the engine in it, i will look when i get the chance

Measuring fuel pressure on both tanks is the first step. There is a Schrader valve on the fuel rail. You need a fuel pressure gauge.

The bogging down under load or up a hill is suggestive of a possible fuel delivery problem. If the fuel filter hasn't been changed in awhile, that might be a good, cheap place to start. But measure pressure first.

Thanks will check that out. I know the filter has never been changed so will probably do that also.

That's important info for us to help you figure out what to do. So are every other detail of the truck, its maintenance/damage/repair history, and the size of the load you're trying to pull up how steep of a hill on what terrain. Click this & read the caption:
