is there such thing as a transmission computer in a 1990 ford f150 lariet xlt with a 5.0 302?

also where is the main computer located?

No and yes, your eec 4 controls some transmission functions like shift time , smoothness, and kickdown at wot. It operates all you sensors on truck.
