1989 f-150 300....what could I do?
Right now I have a 1989 f150 300 with a c-6 transmission. SO far since I got it the truck just keeps getting stronger after everything I do to it. The only thing I have done that could be considered a performance upgrade is the new flo-pro exhaust with no cat. After I got it all replaced from a rusty old glass pack and full cat it runs way, way, way, better. Alot more jerk off the line and accelleration. I can honestly say that it was worth every penny I spent on it getting it done. Well anyway back to the main reason I wrote this. After doing all the little things like change the oil, flush the tranny, and change the fuel filter the truck runs alot better than it did the day I drove it home from my buddies house. I really cant believe its the same truck sometimes. Leading me to think of other things I could do to the motor to make it run better. I'm taking the air conditioning pump off this weekend which I don't think well make the truck any meaner but sure well stop the squeak that I constantly get from the annoying thing. SO anyway what other little thing could I pull off to make it run a bit better. I know one thing, it faster than my friends 1988 f150 300 stock. By a bit.......Thanks....PS I KNOW A 300 IS NOT MADE FOR SPEED BUT I JUST LIKE TWEAKING IT SOME AND MAKING IT BETTER THAN IT WAS.
