Hello, I own a 1987 F150 diesel with the 6.9 and C6 automatic. About two months ago the transmission went out on it. We bought a new Torque converter, rebuilt the entire tranny, and have it set to shift. But it will go into Park, Neutral, Reverse, Drive, First, and Second. But second is the highest it will go. If you put it in drive you will stay in first, but you can go to second then drive, but you stay in second and it will not kick into 3rd gear no matter what. Anyone have any ideas what may be wrong? We really need to get it fixed soon.
