Hey bud! Just finally got those leds installed under the dash. Also got that Dee Zee Visor Storage Caddy 2 piece coming tomorrow from Summit Racing. I'll have to throw up some pics when I get a chance. By the way, were you able to get your bed back on alright?

let me know if you need more direction on the lights.

bed is coming along. we had my bed off in about an hour. ive got all the old bars cut off and grinded down, cut a few holes in the bed. the metal was really soft...my finger went through it. got some sheet metal from lowes and fixed it the best i could. its welded up but i think im goingto put some fiberglass filler on it before i paint it.

i ran into a snag a little while ago. my bars i made wouldnt sit flush to the bed. i trimmed another inch or so off of them and they fit fine now.

going to do a little more welding and then im done for the night. welding that sheet metal took all day.

Well, progress on the under dash leds is going slow. I have them mounted but I can't get the damn things to light up. I think I tapped into the wrong wire for illumination in the multi-function switch. But I got Azure on here helping me for the time being. Anywho, I'll be ordering those visor storage things from Summit Racing on Monday, so hopefully I'll have them mid week. How's the progress going on the bed?

Yeah. Sounds like around here we're getting 2 to 4 but i'll take anything. I got some progress done on that led strip install but I'm thinking i'll be done tomorrow morning. Had a few things come up. But once I get done i'll get some pictures up on the site. Are you replacing your bed or your just taking your cap off?

I think I'm going to tackle the LED strip mounting sometime today when I get a chance. I'm thinking about doing the Raptor style LED for Friday an all day job. Ha. But I will for sure post pics once I get a chance. I'll be taking some pics when we get that ton of snow for sure though. I found something I might like to get once I get chance: http://www.jcwhitney.com/dee-zee-sun...=d18911y2003j1 I had a buddy have these on his 02 F150 and he liked them but I'm always a goof for more storage. I'm thinking also about hooking those LED strips to a switch actually, just to turn them on whenever i'd like to.

For the LED bolts, I bought four of them and I just got some L-brackets that I bought from Lowe's. Ended up shooting some primer on them and some krylon flat black paint. I have an aftermarket Grillecraft mesh grille so mounting is going to be a little more tricker somewhere behind the grille. It's been a while since I've looked behind it, but I think there's room somewhere to mount them. Did you wire all your positives together and ran it over to a parking light wire and grounded the negative off somewhere on the frame? I think I might go this route, I'm tempted to do this tomorrow if I have time or sometime this week.

As far as the muffler, I would put some turndowns if you keep the muffler off. It does help with the fumes.

As far as my exhaust currently, I had straight pipes lightning style going in front of my right passenger tire but it rusted off in about two years. Right I just have the two straight pipes with turndown tips on them underneath the truck but it sounds pretty decent. Btw, I had a set of BFG AT KO's before I had those Mickey Thompsons, great tires as well. I have those superbrightleds black led bolts in a box still, just trying to get around to it.

The Mickey Thompson's actually have wore pretty well. I bought them used from a guy on craigslist two years ago who had actually bought them for his wife's Suburban. She didn't like the way they "felt" on her truck so she wanted to get rid of them. They had 75% of the tread left on them and he only wanted 400 bucks so I went up there the day after they went up for sale. Ha, I never got a good deal like that before. But they are great tires off road and pretty good through snow (only have seen once winter). On my stock tires, I'm running with Firestone Destination AT's. Had them for three years and still going, great tires.

Trying to find a matching tire is a pain, just about everywhere I look for one they go for over 240 bucks. Crazy. I'm also hoping to get an exhaust system put on in the spring as well but I'm undecided as far as going straight pipe duals or getting a Magnaflow or Flowmaster system installed. I got a quote from a friend out in Ida for 320 bucks for straight pipe duals installed with silverline stainless 3" tips. Another project I also got lined up is putting in those raptor style leds, trying to find a good time to do it. Ha ha.

I'll have to do that tomorrow for calling Michigan Works. I've been in there a few times but no success but it wouldn't hurt to go in there again.

As far as the body lift, Amazon has it going for $204 right now. That's the cheapest I've seen in quite some time. I'm hoping as soon as I get my cash back from my returns I'll pick that up. Hopefully when it gets warmer I'd like to get my other set of rims back on. Running with my stock ones right now, back in the summer I blew one of my Mickey Thompsons going through a construction site back when 75 was getting worked on.
