underseat storage and sub enclosure. I cut kerfs in the cabinet grade plywood so I could bend it to fit the curve of the floor pan. I cut some rigid foam to match the curve, then made a reverse template. Soaked it down and let it sit in the sun, then soaked it again and used clamps and ratchet strap to shape the curve, let it sit in the hot sun to dry, then overnite. after the curve was established, I cut the ends to match and glued and screwed it. I used fiberglass reinforced bondo to fill the kerks and re-strengthen it. On the inside of the sub box I also used fiberglass sheeting and resin. Then I took it to the guy who rhino lined my bed @ the dealership. Bartered with him for a sub box I had from my Sport trac that I made. He sprayed the entire insides for me including a lid for the sub. I cut the sub lid to fit in after liner spray. bevel edges so I could use a block plane and sandpaper for perfect fit. Then I used black silicone to seal it up after screwing it down. Found and ordered the carpet at upholstery shop, stapled it on and glued as well with spray adhesive. The small flat area to the right of my tow strap is where i plan to mount a rechargeable flash light. I will tap into the 12 volt distribution block nehind the seat carpet. It will have a quick disconnect so when I want or need the whole flat floor, I unhook 2 sets of wires by hand and its out!
