have a strange problem,about 4months ago truck started running bad.i have changed every thing from timing chain and gears,fuel pump,iac valve egr throttle pos map,wires,plugs 4 disturbers coil.i fixed every vacuum leak,on the old hard plastic lines.it runs now,but only with the vacuum line from cruse off.as soon as i try to put any thing on it it shuts off.please help me,I'm at my wits end.

Are you sure its air that is the problem? What about the fuel side?

Does that have a vacuum fuel pressure regulator ? If so check the vacuum line for fuel smell. If the diaphragm leaks, it lets excess fuel into the intake (so the motor needs more air to run) Somewhere to look, anyway
