Default Turn Signal Switch

I'm trying to replace the turn signal switch on my 1989 f150, so I ordered the switch, the w/o tilt wheel, because as far as I could tell its a non tilt wheel. I tore off the wheel and took out the old one, and much to my dismay it isn't the right shape and won't fit in. Now, I've taken a look at the part that is supposedly for the tilt wheel version and it looks the same as the one I pulled out. So the real question is where is this mythical tilt wheel lever???

The blinker switch lever is the tilt lever.

Bahaaha I'm not the only one! I got a truck that had no lever in the switch so I couldn't push the thing forward to even check. I'm still wondering how I'm going to get the pig tail through the casting?

Youre gonna have to disconnect the wires from the pig tail, electrical tape them all together and use a coat hanger to fish em down through and reconnect em.
