Default just for fun

Does anyone have a good pic of a wiring schematic for the ignition switch bolted to the underside of the steering column? I want to rewire in a momentary/starter button and switches to control those wires instead. The rod in my column broke a long time ago and Ive just been operating it by hand since. Not a huge issue but the more details I have for those wires the better job I can do.

Well, that's the start circuit so it does tell him which is the start wire. I haven't checked mine yet to see how many wires I can identify.

I can't seem to fine a complete diagram for the entire key switch system, its a broken up in smaller diagrams. Like 15 of them, so instead I found one for the ignition switch connector itself.

I couldn't remember who had all those awesome connector pics with the wires explained, but it was you. Yea I bet the one you added should do it for him, now I don't have to pick them out one by one in the diagrams.

Keep in mind eliminating the switch will eliminate the bulb test. And I'm not sure how you would wire the accessory without it backfeeding the other circuits.

Oh yeah, you would just have two separate switches that would both need to be turned on.

I've seen switch system wired up for that kind of thing but they were for racing applications from guys who have been doing it for 25+ years. I got an car electronics guru I go to for that kind of stuff, payment being a case of beer.

Each system having a switch for shutting them down or diagnosing.
