Default Install New Fuel Level Gauge

Figured on regular car its fairly simple, just connect power to wherever the power wire from the sending unit was going to the original location, however since i have the 2 tank option im not sure how to go about install, im guessing i can just splice into a wire off the fuel tank selector switch in the cab on the dash, but then again idk if it will read the accurate ohms, do i need to just splice into the wire going behind the instrument cluster that reads that signal? or both? anyone done this? wanting to install because of my factory gauge being incredibly inaccurate, been 1/8 below e on back tank for weeks....any help will be greatly appreciated!

Put in a new factory sending unit. Plugs right in.
