95 auto O2 wiring question
Hi all-
I have a 1995 Ford F-150 150,000miles Auto 4.9L 2wd with E4OD tranny.
Last week my E40D tranny burned up. After getting a 4Rw70 from a friend and realizing that wouldnt work I found a used E40D with 91,000 and got it hooked up.
While I was under the truck I figured I would replace the O2 sensor. Once I started to tackle the job I realized at some point the wiring past where the O2 hooks up had laid against the transmission lines and burned through.
Today I went to the local u pull and got the wiring from the battery cable down to the 02 sensor from a 1995 F-150 4.9L Manual. After looking at it I realized there was a single small black wire with a stake on blade connector I disconnected from the starter that I dont remember disconnecting from my AUTO starter this weekend when I put in new transmission. After calling the parts store INDEED the AUTO starter is different from the MANUAL.
My question:
What is this wire?
Can I bypass it?
Will this section on harness even work?
Thanks in advance!
