Default Can't get driver side door open.

I have a 1994 F150 XLT 4X4 and can't get the driver side door open. I pushed in the thumb button on the outside and it went in normally but didn't come back out. I have power door locks and they seem to be working except that the manual lock **** up at the door glass doesn't seem to be coming all the way up. When I activate the power door lock the **** goes up and down but not up as far as the other door.

Removing the interior door panel with the door shut will be a major pain with the seat in the way. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

You can't open it with the inside handle?

Bummer. Sounds like the power lock actuator may have frozen.

See if you can get the manual lock **** up far enough to unscrew the little cap that's on it. Then use a pair of needle nose pliers to grab the manual lock arm and pull it all the way up. I've had to do this before with a frozen actuator. And don't be shy when pulling on the rod, yank the **** out of it if you have to. It should eventually break loose or at least come up enough to let you use the inside handle.

Thanks for the good suggestion Crownman. But it didn't work. I even put a pair of vise grip needle nose on and pried up with a claw hammer.

Those newer trucks have a cable to the inside handle, which may have snapped while trying to get the door open with the actuator frozen. Have you tried the same except using the outside handle to see if it will open? The inside handle is supposed to open the door even if it's locked, it unlocks the door when you pull it.

Good post. I meant to say outside handle in my reply. I really should proof read my posts with the stupid auto correct on this phone, lol.

try spraying some wd40 or liquid wrench in where the handle is on the inside of the truck, as well as where the lock is. It may not work, but then again, it may.
