Default The High Mileage Big Six

That's right, the unkillable engine. 324k Miles on her and going strong with a c6 tranny. Now, I was wondering....If I can ever get past eh ignition drive gear problem it has right now would it be a good idea to get a seal kit and redo all the seals, and maybe do some upper end work to the motor since she has alot of miles or just go all out and rebuild the old girl. I mean for the mileage she has on her now, she runs strong, doesnt smoke at all...definitely will spin wheels with just a tap.

if it aint broke, dont fix it

That's all I have to say, sometimes you do more harm than good trying to replace stuff!

324k miles is pretty impressive though!

The trick is to keep her fluids changed.....and a good seafoaming every now and then. I mean she's had the usual small stuff done, water pumps, air pump, oil pump rads.....two new tanks and fuel pumps from where it sat 7 years. Just nothing too too major that warranted it being in a few hundred peaces. Like I said before, everything else around it will fall off and rot, but that motor and transmission will still be ready to roll
