When you use a HID bulbs, the light reflects in a manner that causes it to scatter in all directions, including up and into the eyes of oncoming traffic.

Additionally, the light produced from 8000k color temperature is not as effective as a lower temp. 5000k is about the point of diminishing returns, with 4300k being optimal for useable light output, hence ALL OEM HIDs being 4300k.

You obviously have your own opinion of your lights, but opinion is trumped by facts, and there really just isn't a winning argument for your position.
Hi.

I appreciate yer efforts here. However, in this regard, I've found that you generally can't fix Millennial obtuseness or stupidity, or salvage folks who are living within their own personal Reality Distortion Fields.

I reckon Texas A&M also does not have anything remotely resembling 'Common Sense 101' in their curriculum. It's no wonder that Texas has all of those Walmart jobs - that's where capons like these end up

Hi.

Sorry - no offense intended. Yer right - most are good folks (if a bit touchy, lol). It's a long story.... I seem to keep running into A&M folks with poor judgement, is all. Just my luck, eh?

Suggesting that he not use HIDs in halogen reflector housings IS helping him, and everyone else on the road, but read into it whatever you choose.

At the point that "fog lights" would be truly useful, you probably wouldnt be driving any faster than 5-10mph anyway. The scattered light from the HIDs in reflector housings will cause visibility issues for the driver in foggy conditions.
