Help! 2013 OEM HIDS going crazy on a 2011
I was driving today and it seemed like my headlights were flickering i got home to check out what was going on and indeed they were. I unplugged the harness from from the battery and then reconnected the flickering stopped. After a hour or so i noticed that the headlights were turning off and on all by themselves, i then proceeded to unplug moto control box from the connector this seemed to do the trick for now, hopefully the problem doesnt come back. Seems like to me the moto control box is failing, not sure though, any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

Just a thought...
Check your fuse holder for the add-on harness. While the rest of my harness was top notch, mine was fabricated with a POS non-weather proof fuse holder that created an intermittent. I replaced it with nice rubber one that has a cover over the fuse like this:
Solder it in and use heat shrink tubing...
PS. My headlights failed at 70+mph on the interstate due to the fuse holder. Thankfully I have fog lights, but they don't shine too far...

yea i looked at the fuse holder that didnt seem like an issue. Thr fuse holder is a piece of garbage compared to the rest. I already ordered a new moto control box hopefully that solves the issue. hopefully i dont have to do any night time driving. Thanks anyways FatFenders!

I did the swap in Aug of '13. The following summer in about June I think, my passenger side high beam went out. My problem was the harness. I tried dielectric grease, but no good. After a little research I discovered that there were several issues with this harness. I bought it from ProjectorRetrofits. It had a years warranty on it. I contacted them, and they replaced it with an updated harness. It's been great since.
