When I installed my HID's on 2011 Lariat Super Crew there was what looked like an electric motor directly under the left head light assembly. Just curious what that might be?

Yes, I did the bambi mod and tapped the headlight harness for high beam on the fog projectors. 15000 lumens of high beam is pretty awesome.
Once you do the retro-fit you may want to switch your fogs back to factory halogen, should help get rid of the high beam illuminator. I think it is caused by fog HIDs that don't have a direct harness, but not totally sure.

I dont know if its from the fogs not having a harness or heads, I can put the stock halogens and leave the PNP in my fogs and it goes away. Also, I can put one of my halogen bulbs in the driver side of my factory harness that gets taped up and it goes away. I think its the hid kit not drawing enough current once ignited and the truck goes into a fail safe trying to keep the highs on so you can see, but i dont know. Ive heard of people running two separate harnesses, but i dont know how this would work and dont want to spend another 40 to find out. Also, TRS does group buys quite often on tacoma world so if anyone wants to start one here, we need atleast 25 people before they will send out the discount code and its 25% off any level three or higher kit, but that is just a thought

I have mine low under the light assembly on the outside of the radiator support. So I removed the lights.... Does that help? With all your mounts check your wiring so you have enough length for all connections...
