F150 Power Fold Tow Mirrors are in the works

If you buy a new F-150, be sure it includes the Max Tow package, which includes tow mirrors. Depending on trim level, the Ford tow mirrors have power fold and telescope. But you'll have to buy fancier than XLT trim to get power fold and power telescope. Beginning with 2013 models of F-150, the power folding/power telescoping tow mirrors were part of the Max Tow pkg on FX Luxury, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum models.
But warning, the new F-150 MUST have the factory installed Max Tow pkg, else you get the tiny outside mirrors, no matter how much you pay for your new truck. And on trucks with FX2 or FX4 trim, you must also have the FX Luxury package. That usually means you must plan ahead and special order your new truck to get exactly what you want.
Things could change with the almost-completely-new 2015 F-150, so get a copy of the 2015 F-150 order guide and go over it with a fine-tooth comb to see exactly what the rules will be for standard and optional equipment with various trim levels. You probably cannot download a copy of the Order Guide from a Ford website, so have a good friend in a Ford dealership download one and print it out for you - or maybe e-mail it to you. It's not available yet, but should be available a few months before the 2015 F-150 production begins.
If you order a SuperDuty instead of a half-ton, the tow mirrors are standard. But whether they have memory and power fold and power telescope depends on the trim level. So pay attention to the details in the Order Guide if you order a new SuperDuty.

I hope you designed them so the power fold and power telescope will work on trucks that don't have those features in the stock mirrors. Folks with XL and XLT trim want those features too. That will require wiring harness, switches, and other parts, along with excellent instructions on exactly how to install them and wire everything up so they fold and telescope similar to the factory tow mirrors on 2014 King Ranch pickups with the Max Tow Pkg.
Exactly, if they had their own switch on the interior mirror bracket, it would be so much easier for us to retrofit and not have to run wires, etc.

I have a 2013 fx4 with max tow, luxury package and it came with standard mirrors. I read somewhere that Canadian dealers had the option to order these trucks without the tow mirrors.

Hoping to see flat glass on the passenger side UPPER mirror as should be for much needed depth perception while towing.
The OE ford towing mirror on my 12 is convex.

I am in. I will buy these the day they come out. I might buy the best I can get till then though, I hate my tiny little mirrors!
Thanks for the info guys!
What would be the best mirrors out now that would fit a 2010 FX4… I would like memory, heat, tint….
thanks!

So if you cannot afford at least a Lariat, then go back to the order guide (or Ford.com build&price) and put together either an XL or XLT, and add the optional Max Tow pkg.
Here is the description from the 2012 Order Guide. I don't think it's changed for the 2013 and 2014 models:

My understanding from these posts that all these are quite possibly not available on 2011 up.
Please see the following thread: https://www.f150forum.com/f38/2010-s...irrors-139749/
Please see following thread for aftermarket tow mirrors coming: https://www.f150forum.com/f82/f150-p...-works-236107/
Between the available threads you should be able to find and get all your questions answered.
