Finally got my Wheels, and Running boards finished... oh yea I did my F150 badges...
Heres the thing.. I really didn't want to be bothered with painting the running boards because I got used to having the steps off for the past 3 months... I actually like the look.. but In an effort to close the project... I just went ahead and had them sand blasted and I painted them.. not to mention my lady was already complaining about getting in the truck WITH out the lift and 22's....but they look JUST OK... In certain Light they match dead on with the truck but on others they stand out like a sore thumb... but with this Platinum Pear its all about light angles and reflection.. as you can see here the contrast.. but Mid day... you would think they were both factory painted at the same time... I do however think I coulds added 1 more coat of the pearl. but if you add too much it gets hues of brown... But I will be getting the power steps then it'll be a NON issue.

These Buggeres right here.. Lets just say the powder coat didn't match as we thought it would... to they had to be chemically stripped, and after shopping the job around I just decided to do it my self... They had to be sanded, epoxy enameled, high build primed then sprayed....
I didnt get a completed picture but below is a pic of them after powder and the photo below is them stripped, sanded and primed for paint.

I bought one of these street scene bumper covers.. before I realized Id loose my tow hooks... Another $$$$$ mistake... it was only like 300 or so.. so no big loss.. but I did find some local guys that make offroad steel bumpers, that look better and more different that anything fab4 or iron cross, they are at the point where the customer has tons of creative input. My bumper from them is actually going to be a combination of 3 that they've made for other people.. And It will be one of a kind..... I cant wait... 6 weeks out!!!
