Yes, they sent a new pulley. Strange thing is that it is slightly different from the original one and it also has a Ford part number on it. My original one did not.
Never had a belt make so much noise. I can only assume that when I sprayed lube on the pulley some got on the belt quieting it down. That made me think it was the pulley. Very strange. The belt is only a 6 rib. Lightnings use a 8 and GT500's use a 10 so maybe that has something to do with it. By using the belt that drives the alt and water pump there is no opportunity to go with more ribs on this kit.

I assume it is if it uses the same belt that drives the accessories. The Lightning uses a stand alone setup with a idler bridge and an additional crank pulley.
Same with the GT500. I assume to keep costs down all the aftermarket kits share the stock belt.

Az, can you post the Ford part number for us as a future reference? You never know if this will help someone in the future.

I will post up the part number later. Yes, changing the belt seems to have solved the issue. Don't know if it was just that belt, Gates belts in general, or something else causing a problem with the belt. I got a belt from Autozone so we will see how long that one lasts.
Part number F43E-19A216-B
be aware this is the number on the pulley and may be an engineering number, not the actual part number.

A also have always been a fan of Gates green stripe belts on my Lightnings. The belt on this setup is very long (95.5). I wonder if that has anything to do with it? It will be interesting to see how long the replacement belt lasts.
