My 2013 XLT was built on 21 Dec, is the regap of plugs a TSB or something that was done prior to delivery?

Supposedly they tightened the gaps on the 2013's. The gaps were all over the place on the 2011's and possibly on the 2012's so a lot of people regap them.

No, I haven't gotten around to it. Have a service appointment on Thursday though. I hope they will approve the cac repair. I'll mention the plug gap to them and see if they will do anything about it.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I haven't had any problems with mine yet at 19k miles. Neither does the guy I work with but his is a 2013 and mines a 2012. Every truck I see going down the road now is a ecoboost. I'm sure not everyone of them has this problem.

I have an early build 2011. I haven't had any problems with mine in over 2 years of ownership.

I have a Flex and an FX2 Ecoboost both with 20K HARD miles on them, no problems so far. I'm on just about every Ecoboost V6 vehicle out there and sure there's a small number of people with issues but on the transverse side I haven't heard of any engine failures that weren't caused by modifications and that's only 1 vehicle.
Maybe I should take the article in to help me negotiate the price on the FX4 I'm in process of buying to get the price down!

The wife has an MKS with Eco ('11) with 23K miles-no problems. My Plat has 13K miles with no problems. But I regapped the stock plugs on both to .031, both were all over the place on gap.
