Eat the cost of going dealer to dealer, if you don'y have too many....guns are like cash up here...and you wouldn't ship cash in your HHG shipment. If you absolutely have to ship them document the hell out of it, pictures, serial numbers, actual name of the mover that packs them.

I have a question about the Ecoboost in cold weather. It got to 12 below last night. I plugged in the engine heater about 10 am yesterday, and started it to warm it up about 1 pm yesterday. This morning it stated OK. Cranked over good, but took a bit longer to fire up. It had a louder exhaust note than usual. I drove about 3/4 mile and slowed to make a turn and it got quite noisy. Sort of sounded like a hole in the muffler. After a couple miles, it was quieter, but still louder than usual. Why was it so noisy? I'm wondering if the waste gates were open creating the exhaust note. Is this normal for cold weather? Have our Canadian and Alaskan friends had the same experience?

If it gets below 10 deg F I notice the truck turns over a little slower, other than that, it has been working good for me. Had a couple sub zero nights but nothing crazy here.

every mechanical component at these temps gets stiff and frozen, regardless of EB or not. my car for one sounds like a freakin' semi when i start it at -30C...
if it only makes this noise when it warms up on a really cold day, I wouldnt be too worried.
i did notice my EB smoked quite black for a few minutes yesterday at -20C after a night NOT plugged in...

-14 F here this morning, left it outside unplugged, garage door has been acting up and didn't want to have to mess with it this morning. Remote started it and definitely took a bit to fire up, but was fine. Even with two remote start cycles(half hour run time) engine didn't get to normal temps until about the half way point to work, tranny never got to normal temps. Misfire still there and getting worse, especially at WOT. Still does it also under load(uphill) and moderate acceleration(using boost to accelerate vs.RPM). Waiting on the new I/C first before pursuing other ways of attempting to fix it.

I bought my truck when I was in NC, so no heater for me.

I grew up in Upper MI and NONE of our vehicles had block heaters!

i only ask because they mentioned about plugging something in. I thought it was a block heater for the eco engine. I know they make it for the SD.
