Fact: There are some unknowns about long-term reliability of gas DI (my greatest concern)
Fact: Turbochargers have a long history of high reliability in OEM applications
Fact: the 5.0 gets better MPG towing and retains more of it's rated HP/Torque under load or in hot conditions rendering the recommendation for Premium fuel not necessary.
Fact: the 5.0 has the potential to be the stronger motor when modified.

Towing mileage comparison has not been proven with any head to head test yet. This has been gone over and the search for a willing 5.0 owner to step up to the challenge has not produced, yet.

Think we are talking about "stock" motors here.

"Heat" will affect both motors. A motor built correctly with proper cooling systems (oil/water/air/fuel/ect) should have no problems under most normal conditions.

Fact: the 5.0 gets better MPG towing and retains more of it's "rated HP/Torque" under load or in hot conditions??? Well that is a broad stroke to paint without some kind of subjective data!!!

I still don't understand why all the fuss. Ford gave us 4 decent or better powertrains to pick from in our F 150s. Each persons requirements/desires will be based on thier own criteria or pocketbook. Heck, I had a friend who used to buy cars by the pound...he always ended up with Chryslers (like older Imperials) becuase to him...You got more for the money...by the pound that is.

It's your Buck and only you can decide what gives you "The Most Bang for the Buck"

Have I ever mentioned how hansome, intelligent, witty, well read, tall and modest I am?
I also have unusually large hands and feet.

Were you a Philosophy major in college? Oh, no I guess not. If so, you probably wouldn't have made a 2nd grade gramatical error. How about, "an opinion is not a fact".

If you wouldn't be so obnoxiously "correct", then I wouldn't have to be "an" obnoxious *****hole....

Aside from the gramatical error, he makes a good point.

I am short. I am not tall. I am below average height.

I make a good point, but the point wasn't necessary because those statements are redundant and not needed.

Maybe so but passing off opinions as facts isn't needed either.
