Two things: 10-15 minutes of idling is 10-15 minutes at 0 mpg.
Drive like your brakes don't work. Avoid braking by letting off throttle when you see the stop sign or the light about to change. Keep distance between you and the car in front so you don't have to brake every time it slows a little. Every time you hit your brakes, you are throwing away the energy used to get you up to speed.

I am currently getting 12.5 mpg with 100% city driving. I have not been into the gas that much. It has been fairly cold here in ND so I usually let it warm up for about 10-15 min in the morning. My od has about 1200 miles so far. Last highway tip was approximately 300 miles and I got 17.6. I was expecting better mpgs. Will the mpgs improve once I get more miles on the motor? What are your thoughts?

I drive 13.8 miles each way to/from work and get 15.5 consistently, not flooring it. On highway I get 17 - 22 dependent on speed and wind. Now I don't even count when I tow my boat cause my dang boat is really heavy.

Yes. I usually average about 10 miles a day round trip. Unfortunately, I have to drive through town and the speed limit is 25 mph with several stoplights. I understand this is not an ideal situation, but I thought it would be a little better than what I am getting. On a positive note, I like everything else about the truck. It is quite the improvement coming from a 98 Jeep Wrangler.

E-10 fuel kills my mileage. Stop and go traffic too.
We all drive differently and every truck is different. i would say I am somewhere in the middle for mileage, yet I can beat my wife by 1-2mpg in the same truck just by the different ways we drive.

I'm sure I would get better than my wife although she hasn't driven the truck yet. But she drove her Mom's SUV when we visited and she was either on the gas or on the brakes. I was appalled, but smart enough not to say anything. In her defense, she drives a stick shift Subaru so MPG is not a concern and she gets good engine braking.
I've spent the last few years trying to get decent (above 16) mileage out of my 2003 Tundra V8, using a ScanGuage II to modify my driving habits. So at 380 miles, I've averaged 18.8mpg driving country roads 70 miles a day in Vermont which involves very little stop and go. But when in town, I still drive like my brakes are broken.

Got my truck from Maxwell. Best price in 3 states and that's including them shipping it to my driveway 300 miles away. I have no clue about their service department but their sales team is light years ahead of anything in my area.

I have about 950 miles on my Eco SCrew 4x4 with 3.55 gears. Current average MPG is 13.8. Most of my driving has been short city-type trips, in the mountains where I live. On one 150 mile freeway trip the truck got about 18 MPG cruising at 75 MPH.
Also, I drive like the brakes don't work.
