Question BG air induction treatment

2011 Super Crew FX4 3.5L TT EcoBoost 40,100ish miles

Tuesday i have an appointment at my Local Ford Only Stealership for my Full Fuel treatment and top-end Air induction treatment told me it was $199.

Called a dealership about an hour, from here they don't use BG anymore,, they use Petra’s Fuel System Service. said they changed to it a few years ago or so. They are a multi-brand dealership.
They quoted me $129 for Petra's service, looks to be about the same as BG but i need to do some research on it. Either way i'm going to play dealerships against each other. since i bought my Truck at the higher priced quote they should do it cheaper. Was already told Sir $199 is as low as we can go.

I plan on changing my plugs after this is done.

What do you all think?

There have been several threads about fuel treatments, Induction treatments for the EB. It will help the pistons but little for the intake valves. Nitrogen in Shell gas will do about the same I believe. If you had a 5L I would just run a couple tanks of E85 thru it.

This is not a fuel treatment. Air induction service which carbon out of the top end of the motor. A fuel injector service and fuel treatment service. If you go to BGwebsite you'll see everything and explains it

I thought Ford recommended not doing this.

It's being done at my Ford dealership. Which offers every BG service accept one. I also called a another dealership about 30 miles away and they use Petra not BG. Said the products are about the same just different manufacturers if you will. They are also 75.00 cheaper so I will use that against my local dealership

Just throwing that out there so you are aware. Not sure how it would make any difference who does it. But, it's your truck, so do what you think is the best. From everything I've read, a manual cleaning is what's recommended which is around $600.

Well Google BG and go to their website and look at what they have to offer and how it works. If my Ford dealership is doing it then most likely it is back by a guarantee so if its f***** up they will pay for it just my 2 cents I think I know what is good and not good for my vehicle which is why I am NOT putting seafoam in the top end because it is not recommended its air induction where they break everything up and it doesn't go through the exhaust system it is a closed system which they suck everything back out its on their webpage and explains everything in detail better than what I did I'm sure Ford will not offer to do this for me if they think it would mess up the motor and they would have to pay for it

I've found BG stuff to be snake oil. YMMV.
