Default 6.2L Actual MPGs

Here's a chart of the actual fuel mileage for my 2011 Harley Davidson AWD. Spot on with the EPA estimates.

Good report. I have the same truck and see similar mileage. Im getting a little better but not much. I'm too lazy to chart it but so far the main meter which hasnt been reset since new says 14.9. This is a combo of everything including a recent 125 mile trip towing a boat. Also I live in the mountians so the towing is lower. We have a 3% to 4% grade 4 mile hill to climb from SC to NC which kills towing. I ran 65 to 70 and mileage was averaging 13+ before the climb. The best I could figure as far as keeping mph was pull it back to 5th manually and keep the rpms around 3K. Ran it up to 85 climbing the grade just to see how it pulls compared to my chevy I traded which had the 6.0 HO. The 6.2 really shines about 4K where the peak torque is but will lug about 2k no problem.

Highest on the interstate: 18 200+ miles trying to see how good it would get.
Lowest towing a 4500LB boat: 11.8
Mixed usually averages about 15/15.5

This is a varied mix from heavy footed to babying it. I still only have 1400 miles but gotten to the point that I dont really look much anymore. Its nice to know a base line and how driving effects it, but if I find myself monitoring the mileage it takes the fun out of driving it. So I just filler back up when she needs it. Heck for the attention the Harleys get its worth the little extra Saudi Sauce LOL.....

I got 14.7 on the highway at 80mph. I have about 500 miles on it. Really don't care about gas milage when you have a truck that sounds so good from the factory.
