The way Joe described it, you should add the bead of silicone to the surface of the 2 kidney shaped areas, which would be in the can's top. Then when you add the diffuser, it will seal to that surface and keep the 2 chambers separate.

I added some to both since my extension for the RTV wasn't working so I could get into the small areas on the outside of the kidney shaped area of the top. This is where I put silicone on the diffuser itself.

This is how to run the bead on the top side of the UPR Diffuser for the maximum sealing airflow and oil separation benefits.

Read through most of the threads. Do you need one on the drivers side also? I saw one guy that had one on both sides but most seem to only have the passenger. Did anyone solve the issues of the hoses sucking in?
Joe@UPR, do you have forum specials for members? Any complete packages?

Can't remember what thread its in, but a guy had tested both the driver and passenger side of the PCV output on his 5.0 and only the passenger side got dirty. Can't remember how he set it up, but he used some sort of white filtering media to get a visual on what was being discharged from each side, and the passenger side became brown while the drivers side remained white.
