4th EcoBoost Blackstone Oil Report, 7k Miles--Mobil 1
Got my 4th used oil analysis report back today. Haven't noticed the oil level rise but will look more closely at it by the next change.
I called over to ask a few questions and she mentioned they currently have around 50 3.5L EcoBoost's that they are getting samples from and think it's a very solid engine and I will have years of happy ownership. Time will tell!
What do you guys think?

Yeah, I totally agree with those guys on the fuel issue. Ford only has to warranty the damn thing for a relative short period of time. Obviously continual fuel contamination keeps taking mileage off the end of the motor's life.
I like that you're not only keeping tabs on the condition of your motor, but also having it continually documented.

In a word: Yes.
I always go into town and run an errand or two and then drive to my house, which is in the country, and drive right up on the pre-set up ramps, cardboard, pan out, etc. I have the fumoto valve so it is quite easy to just slide under and flip the lever and oil comes flowing out.

Secoond, a uoa is not monitoring the engine but only the quality of the oil. you may catch an engine problem but you shouldnt think of a uoa as such. and documenting oil condition is also not documenting engine condition.

I would imagine that if you took the truck for a good run all the light ends, ie. fuel in the oil would be burned off via the PCV valve or whatever is on these trucks these days.

The Mobil 1 is doing it's job. The fuel dilution would keep me from extending beyond 5k miles if it were my truck. It's clear why Ford wants 5w-30 to be used in this engine.
