Update: Despite the TSB regarding the shock clunk my dealer fought with FORD canada and finally succeeded to get me new Fox Shocks as they determined my shocks make a clunk sound they are not happy with took a while but ford loosened their purse strings hopefully this will be the real fix this time. Steering rack and Cam alignment bolts have been replaced and the entire front end disassembled lubed and reassembled and retorqued to hunt the problem down

Update: for the first time in my life im disappointed with ford im a ford man i buy a brand new one every year since i was 17 this is my 5th f150 (raptor is first one i bought used ) one f350 and a couple mustangs but today i give up i dont know who or what im going to buy but i just dont think i can do this anymore if someone has a magic answer please help. After 65+ days of my truck being at the dealer of the 70ish i have owned it im at a loss.. before they were saying they are replacing the shocks now they are saying ford denied them new struts even though the svt tech INSISTED the issue is NOT the normal sound documented in the TSB Sigh.

Im an F150 guy as well. I would have to blame the previous owner on this one. Even though it has been a struggle trying to get it fixed through the Ford dealership, I wouldnt want you to change your mind about Ford trucks. 99.9% of their trucks work flawlessly, it just so happens that the raptor is a specialty vehicle that is an expensive vehicle/toy and it shouldnt be bought to be used as a daily driver. Stick with the FX4s if you want an off-road/daily driver. Its the best way to have the best of both worlds...

understood however previous owner never had this truck off road. This isnt hear say this is from looking underneath no mud dried to the exhaust or headers no chips anywhere on the undercarriage or in the paint and not a single scratch on skid plates . If you ever check the raptor forums my issue is VERY VERY common. spoke to a tech today he was told to drive mine then a 2014 back to back he concluded there is something very wrong with mine in comparison however ford has his hands tied and wont give him new shocks! he spoke to another tech who was their "svt' guy and he said the sad thing is ford knows theres an issue Yes the shocks make a noise that they are supposed to but said ALOT of these trucks need replacement Lower control arms and struts because the LCA where the lower strut mounts the gap is too wide and even when torqued it doesnt pinch adequately and the struts have an issue with failing apparently more so in colder climates ( not making more noise due to temperate but having damage inside) he told me he has tried over and over with ford but has been hushed so to speak by his advisor but told me he will continue to try and insist i need at the least the one new strut

Sorry to hear this, man that suck's. Ford is as bad as GM anymore, warranty mean's if it's cheap easy an they feel like fixing it I have a junkass 12 plat eco so i sympathize with ya. When a company wont design or build a premium truck right or fix the halfass cheap srewup's that's pathetic.
Too many office boy's worried about the bottom line an there bonus's instead of taking care of the customer's and of course an engineer is never wrong, alway's design everything right the first time.
