Any maintenance records? If you can show you changed your oil and other fluids when you where supposed to, people will look at it as you took care of the truck, just built it to look off-road.

Thank you... Yeah, I ment to say something along those lines as well, I can build a truck like this so I would never buy one or pay to have one built... some people can't do this but they want something like it, so they either pay to have it built, or pay for one that's built to their liking... these are the people I'll be waiting for I guess

No unfortunately I didn't save receipts for parts, oil etc... I've never brought a vehicle to a mechanic, I do all my own work and toss the parts receipts like a dummy haha (minus the expensive parts and ones with warranty) a look underneath will tell you it wasn't off road and was only a street queen but that's up to the potential buyer to use their best discretion... as much as I wanted to try it out in a mud hole the hubs were only locked if I went out in the snow because as big and bad as you build something, it can always break and while I had good faith in the truck doing just fine as overbuilt as it is I had to make it to work the next day lol and I know ish can just go wrong, I'm 30 not 17 (no offense kids, but you know what I mean )...

The truck is my daily driver (work was 5mi away when I started building it) I was building it to be a mud truck/toy for when I got another truck as a daily driver... That never happened and I'm just into the boat and fishing now, I'm all set with the mud scene at this point and while I still like it I grew out of it... and towing the invisible boat (can't see it behind the truck) with my 13" drop hitch gets annoying haha

I understand completely how you feel. That is why i ended up selling my SD's. I never had a use for them after I sold my car hauler and mustang. Now I just have my boat and the Navigator and F150 do a great job at it. If you were closer and the rust wasnt a issue to me I'd be all over it.

I'm currently debating if I was to SAS my 97 since I have a nice stock 03 as a driver now.

I was also thinking around 8k. As Tackle said, the truck isn't for everyone and its hard to determine when its gonna sell. Not everybody wants a jacked up truck, but some do. For those who DO want it, it'll be a lot more appealing since the money, time, and effort has already been put into it. All the hard work is done, they just have to buy it.

Patience will be key in selling it.

Update, due to probably not being able to sell the truck in a reasonable amount of time and definitely not being able to trade it in for any good amount of money if at all

I...

Decided to start lowering the truck back down...

Today I reworked custom tranny x-member I made which sat on top of the frame on the left side, it goes up over the drive shaft and exhaust because the drive shaft would intersect the cross member... it is now flush with the top of the frame yet still clears everything and mounts with the factory bolts in their factory locations...

Now I can pull the body lift out and sell it off to put towards some parts...

The plan,
Pull body lift this week, buy and install 4" springs, put on my stock 8 lugs with 32s, Pull the added leafs out of rear packs, redrill front spring hangers up high to gain more positive caster for even better road manners and drop a bit more height, put stock height pitman arm on, rework what I have to to drop the rear a bit more, smaller block? Remove shackle flip? Idk yet, depends on how much I can lose up front, still finding ways to lose height...

Sell 40" tires, 6" springs, and body lift, buy 33s to 35s to run on the 1 tons with about 4" of lift...

The outcome should be about 4" if lift on 33s with 1 tons but we'll see how it ends up, the lower the better for me at this point and if I want to sell it it will be much easier... I have no issues with the truck other than the height for inspection and getting in and out constantly especially launching the boat and throwing it back on the trailer getting in and out...

Right now I'm at 12" of lift on 40s so the difference should be quite substantial!
