Default Tranny shifts in & out of overdrive

It doesnt do it all the time, its a 2000 model with 200,025 miles on it, has 4.6 motor,the tranny shifts smooth with no slipping or odd noises and its been doing this for about 20,000 miles or so,got any answers I would appreciate them.

Could this be the normal downshifting out of OD depending on the load of the engine? Slight inclines or strong headwinds? Mine does this, although i have the smaller engine.

I noted this same thing on the E4OD in my truck. It was when I was fighting my way through 60 to 70mph head winds. It was clearly a load related matter so after awhile
I just disabled the OD. Now are you sure it is the overdrive and not the torque converter lockup clutch cycling.

It doesnt do it under a load only between 55-65mph under normal driving conditions and not all the time, I thought maybe a relay but not sure. Its got me stumped.
