Show'em Off!!! Post up 97-03 trucks!
Since I'm new it only seemed right to show what I'm have in my garage, this is my 2003 F-150 with the 5.4, it's been a solid truck and now finally it's stopped ticking with the new manifold that was put in.

HAHA! sure looks like we do, I bought her stock and wanted to keep it cheap with just bedliner and plasti-dip, Im looking at changing things up with here here soon with probably a leveling kit and then slap some 33s under her. But it sure looks like we both had the same idea in mind.

yeah I'm sorta bent on if I should keep my stock rims or buy aftermarket, it all really depends on where I am financially. Rims and new tires are super expensive, so it all depends on if it's worth saving up for.
Now an XLT in Colorado
I'd vote for keeping the FX4 wheels. If mine had had those instead of the 20" chrome atrocities that it came to me with, I'd have kept them, but I'm glad I went aftermarket now. Keep your eyes open for CL deals and sales. These wheels ended up costing me $365 (new) after sale price and rebates.
Tires will eventually need replaced anyway, and assuming you stay with 17's, will cost the same no matter which wheels you have (or get).
EDIT: You mentioned leveling the truck. Know that you may not need a "kit." These trucks can usually be leveled by simply tightening up the torsion bar adjustment bolts. You will need an alignment afterward, though. HERE is one of the more recent threads (among dozens here on the Forum) that addresses the subject.

I did know you can work with the tortion bars and I am thinking about that as well. I think staying with the FX4 wheels wouldn't be a bad idea, I've had a few of my chevy friends ask if the rims were aftermarket when they were first plasti-dipped, I thought that was funny, but when I get comments like that, it makes me lean more towards keeping them. Not to mention to, through my work I don't have to pay labor with my tires.
