the door seal is torn up from somebody locking themselves out.
using a wire to hit the unlcok button, it's a tight squize and tears up the seal in the process.
mine looks about the same but not quite as bad

He flew right over the truck. I had been hoping to get it running by Saturday. Clay target tournament. Wanted to break the truck in properly, hauling shotguns.

Put injectors in it yesterday, now it starts and runs smooth and quiet. Now on to details and inspection. Have a service engine soon light and ABS. Drivers seat belt will not pull out. Dam it was nice to hear it run and put it in drive.

Rock Auto had them on sale. NEW. So if your ever rebuilding a engine that sat for years and runs like mine did, it might be injectors. Man it's so quiet only thing I think I hear is the injectors clicking. I suppose the service engine light could be MAF or somthing that also did not like sitting for years? ABS light who knows. Now I can get a reader on it.

I've named it "The Phoenix"

Need to get seat belt working, weatherstrip, change all remaining fluids, get tires. Don't know if the ones on it will ever round out again. It sat for years and it has a serious tire shake on the one that was flat and I know spun on the rim before I got it re-beaded.

probably not. If your looking for good tires BFG KO2's are about the best. If you want cheaper tires I've got Firestone destination A/T's they are quiet 50,000 mile tread life and not really stiff. They clean well and don't look bad imo they were $850 with free rotation and balancing for life and road hazard. I've spun them twice in mud that's it. So they don't spin easily and I can get places in 2WD now that I couldn't in 4WD low with the yokohomas that were on it. I have 5,000 miles on them and they still have the nubs on the treads barely. They don't get flat spots unless they've sat in the cold for a day or two. Be expecting to get a fancy code reader on it to get the ABS code. The auto parts stores would not read it for me and I had to go to ford to get it pulled. Get on to tire rack and look at the ratings and reviews on some tires and see whats the best for your buck
