Exhaust stuff

will run you OVER
my favorite is long tube headers, resonators (like catallic converters except theres nothing in them), and some exhaust cutouts.
but after the cutouts, my borlas sound amazing with dual lightning tips before the rear tire but dumped is also pretty good.

Flowmaster 50- better than stock not very noticeable especially at an idle
Flowmaster 40- wanna hear the turck but don't wanna scare the neighbors good idle
Flowmaster 10- most likely wake the neighbors pretty much are straight pipes without all the popping and raspyness and gives it a noticeable idle
Straight pipes and glass packs- if you like to hear the pop and loud exhaust but don't have as noticeable of an idle until you get into it the it becomes very noticeable. glasspacks gives a little more pop than just straight pipes. True duals and gutted or missing cats- will also give you a lot of pop but with a deeper throatier sound.
Bigger exhaust tips will give you a deeper sound especially at idle
Of course you will get more sound out of a dual setup
I have a single in dual out flowmaster 40 with 3in inlet 2.5 outlets with 3.5x18in black stainless tips with the rear cats deleted. mine is very throaty and does not have a pop unless the pipes are cold. And is very noticeable but not obnoxious.

Yep Borlas for the win. They are not popular on trucks, but i think they always sound great. I have them on my CTS-V too and they sound like a pissed off ape.
If you want a little crackle in your exhaust look for mufflers which don't have any baffling.

Imma see if I can get a video up of mine. I love it. I haven't never been much for a lot of pop and I love a deep throaty tone but when you get into it I love to hear that v8 rumble. I haven't hear one that sounds like mine yet and there aren't any videos on youtube of rear cat deletes and a flowmaster 40 everyone who does the rear cat delete usually has true duals with straight pipes and glass packs trying to get it loud as possible.

That's so cool that you have a CTS-V. Dream car right there. My dad has a CTS with the 3.6 and it still gets it, I can't imagine the 6.2
