So I took the truck to the tranny shop and there is nothing wrong with my actual transmission everything tested fine. I'm just not getting any power to the transmission at all. 1997 f150 5.4

You took it to the trans shop and they did not have any suggestions? Did you have it towed there?

If both of those answers are yes, I would suggest you find another shop.

My suggestion is
Step 1: lay on ground under truck and pull the black plug out the bell housing on the bottom you will have a hole and can visually see the torque converter
Step 2 : open ur truck door
Step 3: crank the truck
Step 4: lay on the ground under the truck
Step 5: look through the hole and see is the torque converting spinning.
If it is the input shaft on trans should be spinning mean u are getting power to trans. Unless the trans input shaft is sheared in half which isn't very common, are torque converter is bad? If its not spinning maybe you flywheel is broke where it bolts to block are torque converter bolts are gone? But I agree with the other guy here a trans shop couldn't tell u what was wrong? And how exactly did they do this (test) on the trans to check it?

K should have clarified that one, are your fuses good, did you check the grounds? Did you check the wires themselves?
