Question cd changer removal

i have a 2001 f150 with a factory cd changer installed. i'm going to of course change out the old factory radio and changer but haven't done a changer removal before. has anybody ever had that problem, or do you know if it's a pain or not! i've changed a lot of radio's in the past but never one like this.

there are some special tools you need to get the stock head unit out. they are like u-shaped pieces of metal that go into the little holes in the radio. you can get them at auto parts stores i think. once you get the radio out, it's pretty self-explanatory if you use the right CD player install kit.
