Camper Shell Question
Does anyone have a lifted f-150 with a camper shell on it. Im looking at getting one, but have always been unsure if I like shells or not. Also how to you like it, does it come in handy?
Thanks

Shell
I've got a 99 F150 4x4 Lariat, Bought a Snugtop with matching paint and all, very nice. It fits great and very glad I purchased it. I only take it off if really necessary when carrying large items that don't fit. I also have a tool box in back mounted length wise of bed on one side for tools. It serves as storage and keeps things dry in downpours. There are some leaks around the back glass to tailgate connection, but it's minimal and it has a roof rack on top.

I've had my topper on since I bought my truck new in 2000 and never had it off. The topper is very convenient and I can still carry almost anything in the bed. What you need to do is be a little creative with some loads. When I am carrying a load of wood, gravel, dirt, etc. I always put a heavy tarp underneath so I can pull it out to get at the back of the load. The other thing I do is put a board vertical in the first slots by the tailgate. This keeps small loads like the groceries from sliding all the way to the front and then hard to reach. I cannot imagine having a truck without the topper.

Dude, good luck. I have an 01 flareside and man is it tough finding a topper for it. especially in silver! I have had ZERO luck finding one on line unless bought new and painted to match. Which equals buko bucks!
