spray some carb cleaner into the air filter housing and turn it over, if it makes an attempt, it is probably the PATS (passive anti-theft system) Is the light flashing very fast in the cluster? If so it will be the PATS for sure. Do you have another key? try the other key. If the other key doesn't work it will be the transceiver for the PATS.
There is no way to bypass the PATS system. Once it is enabled, it shuts the fuel system down.
Do you have a remote start in the truck?

check the connections to the transceiver for the PATS. this is located in the upper and lower steering column plastic covers (upper and lower pieces) You will see a black ring around the ignition tumblers. this is the antenna for the tranceiver. Follow the wires to the connector to see if the connector is infact plugged in wiggle test it to be sure. If this does not work do the carb cleaner trick to verify that the fuel system is disabled, PATS will shut the fuel pumpsystem down once triggered. If it does fire with the carb cleaner, it is the PATS. The truck has to go to the dealer to be reprogrammed. Sorry for the bad news. If you had another key the dealer will be able to reprogram from that key. Keys usually don't go bad it is usually the tranceiver.
