2000 f150 Horn/Cruise Control not working do to Airbag deployment?
I purchased a 2000 F150 that was in a minor accident (only Lower Valance was damaged) but for some reason it set off the air bag. The previous owner never fixed the airbags so of course the horn does not work. I found a place that sells "dummy" airbags that is supposed to make the horn work again. Which I need to pass state inspection. But I was reading about the clock spring braking would make the Cruise Control not work. So my question is the Cruise control not working do to the airbags or the clock spring? If I am going to get the dummy airbag and install that I want to know if I should be replacing the clock spring too while I am in that area.

Get yourself a airbag, don't even consider getting a fake one.
If you have ever been in an accident where the airbag goes off, you will never want to be without one again.

Since the cruise controls are on the steering wheel I think that the ai bag deployment prolly damaged the clock springs or the button assy itself. I would see if you can find another wheel and clock spring in a salvage yard.
