I love my 06 5.4 L. Have a little over 187,000 miles on her. Haven't had any trouble whatsoever. Not the fasted in the world but I didn't buy a race truck!! I bought a truck to work hard!!!!

This is my 3rd F150 had a 1997,2001 and this one 2004 all 3 have had the 5.4 and has been very good for me...My 2001 that I just traded for the 2004 I had for about 6 years she was flawless changed oil every 3,000 miles and tune up once I reached 100,000 is about all I had to do to it put a starter in not long ago and it still had factory starter...Thats all I had to ever do hope this one is the same way its the 5.4 3v with 148,000 miles

I'm on my 3rd 150 with the 5.4 in it and I love the motor I had a 99, 00, and I currently own a 05 with 100xxx miles on it and my 00 I traded it in for my 05 had 190xxx miles t never had a problem with the engine besides normal maintenance but the trans was alil weak had to replace it once but other then that I love the 150s awesome trucks!

06 with 98k and still purrs like kitten. Other than a failed idler pulley, had no problems at all.

2004 with 144K miles, sounds like a ticking time bomb. love the truck, but the motor makes the truck sound like a beater.

Love it...04 lariat 5.4 with 293,000 plus miles on dino oil. No synthetic oil ever, no engine problems or work done to it ever (just plugs MAF/TB clean). I could just be a lucky one but I couldn't ask for a better experience with this truck.
