I have a 2008 5.4l 3v flex fuel and I like it a lot. It's pretty quick for no programmer and intake. I do a lot of towing. I pulled a 7000lb load on a trailer from Dallas to to ft Myers Florida. Pretty much a 24 hour drive with only gas breaks and I do it once a year and plus I tow my buddy race car alot through out the year all over Texas. I have 110k miles and it hasn't giving me any problems

The main reason I posted this poll was because of all the negative you hear. Of course, if someone isn't having trouble, they aren't gonna post it...lol.

Man the jury is out for me... My old truck was a 98 Z71 with the truelly bulletproof 5.7 350 SBC. I had my first towing last friday and was extremely disappointed... turns out though my MAF was horribly dirty. cleaned it on monday and its running like a whole new monster.. need to tow the boat again to see...

Yeah the 5.4 will tow circles around the GM 5.7 and 5.3.

I'm very happy with mine so far. 2005 with less than 50k on it. Plenty of time to go either way still.
