well I have also had the same leak on the pas side floor board, I have done everything, silconed all the drain plugs, no good, so I went to check the ac drain, removed the inner fenderwell and still no luck, then while I had the inner fenderwell off I notitced rust streaks between spot welds around the cowel area, check that little drain and it was paritail pluged, but still kept leaking,

had all the carpet and pass side seat out and then I saw what I thought was a leak just under the door opening on the the seam the factory mess up with the seam sealer and it was leaking in, so cleaned it all out re-seam sealed and thought it was done, just drove to work this morning in the rain and looked and it was wet again an the wire tray full, luckey all the carpet and seat were still out, I saw it is leaking up under the heater,

so my next project is tearing the dash completly out and re-sealing everything and hoping for the best

Default A/C leaking onto passenger carpet

I have an 05' and had to have the A/C drain tube replaced. There is a TSB, but not all dealers are aware of it, I had to tell my dealer about it. You will get some "drainage" on the ground when running the A/C, but not as much as it should be, and when the truck is in motion, the inertia drives the water backwards and into the vehicle. It's a $6.00 part and about $140.00 in labor, but the replacement drain tube did the trick......dry carpet. I would check that out before pulling your dash. Good luck.

Had this same water issue. I (myself) ended up ripping of my drivers side fender and found the leak using a garden hose. The dumbass who replaced my windshield forgot to reinstall the seal on the little black tabs that are used to square up the glass before laying it down on the new sealant. Drove around for 4 months trying to fix the issue. I blamed it on the windshield from day one but they blamed it on Ford. Insurance company payed Abra to fix it and reinstall the fender. Abra sent the bill to the glass company. No more water.

Default 2004 Super Cab F150 water on passenger floor

After a few rain storms I found water on the passenger floor. I checked the third brake light and found the seal was improperly installed, excessive moisture bubbles in the fixture and the light bulb was blown. I removed all of the gasket material, cleaned thouroghly and installed a bead of 3M strip calk part number #051135-08578 Black. This calk is a thin bead which properties are consistent with windshield calk as being soft, sticky and will not harden or become brittle. You will need to clean both the fixture and the area where the seal contacts the body. Simple low cost fix, under ten dollars. The original foam seal could not be salvaged as the two part sticker was too dry and brittle. The head linner did not stain or show water marks as the water flowed to the rear channel over the window and down the far corner to the floor channels. When the brake was usedd the water flowed to the front. Another tell tale sign was there was dampness all along the edge of the carpet from thr rear corner to the front.

Fix worked like a champ as the rain water can no longer be driven into the fixture while driving nor does it seep in while standing idle. Carpet now dry as a bone.

I know this is an old thread BUT I do have water intrusion. After waxing my truck (2007 4x4 Supercrew Lariat) I started vacuuming the passenger floor when I noticed how wet it was. Man was I pissed.

What I noticed:
1. Removed passenger sill plate and kick plate.
2. Wire channel under sill plate had lots of water in it.
3. Lifted the carpet up....padding and carpet was soaked

Read a few threads for a couple hours and came to the conclusion many members had issues with the third brake light.

So I went out to the truck and notice the third brake light had moisture in it. Tomorrow I will remove it, seal it, and reinstall it.

My questions are:
1. What are the "cowls" so many talk about?
2. Where would I find the A/C drain tube to rule that out?
3. How do you clean out clogged sunroof drain tubes, just in case mine are clogged?
4. I read over the TSB where Ford would inject silicone in a cavity near the passenger kick panel....I am still unclear where inject silicone?

Any help, any information, or insight would be greatly appreciated. I live in Washington where it rains quite a bit. Fixing this would definitely make me sleep better at night.

THANK YOU

I am in the process of tearing everything apart as well. Good thing it rains here in WA quite a bit because it keeps showing me everyday where water is trickling in.

I have been posting pictures and my progress in this thread "Rain leaking into wire chase under sill plate" :https://www.f150forum.com/f4/rain-le...178873/index5/

In the end it was my A/C drain, once I installed the elbow all my water issues went away. Its very hard to see but its on the passenger side on the fender wall.
