Default Transmission Missing on NEW 08 SCREW

My tansmission seems to be missing when I am going low speeds through neighborhoods. For example...I am cruising like 15 mph then I lift off the gas to go through a curve and then lightly press back down on it...I get a engine rev and then the gear kicks in. What the heck is this?

Has anyone experienced this? THIS ONLY HAPPENS AT LOW SPEEDS.

I have noticed the same thing in my 08 screw. I thought it was just a fluke. But it happens at low speed when you lift off the accelerator and then push it back in. Try dropping the shifter down into 1st so that the engine speed doesn't make it want to shift gears.

Would you think this is a production flaw? I mean, I don't want to have to modify my driving just to compensate for this. Ya know?

I mean WE have a warranty, but knowing these trucks, it won't do it when they are test driving it..

There is a TSB to reporgram the transmission CPU. Go to the dealer and have it done. This problem should go away. Some people shut off the overdrive, via the shifter button, to stop this until they have the software upgraded.
If you research the site you can find the TSB number.

How would you go about doing this? I mean, if I go to the dealer and tell them this...are they going to know what the heck I am talking about?

I know alot of info on this site is helpful. Sometimes people on here know more than the mechanics do.

Go to the dealer and take a mechanic for a test ride. You might want to find a spot in the rpms and road that it does it more or worse.

Of course, I've gotten that line a few times. Best thing is to show them what it's doing. If you leave your truck with out doing that you'll get the "can not duplicate customers concern" stamped on your service ticket.

I understand. Then again, it does not do it ALL of the time. I hope I can reproduce this issue when the time comes..

It also could be the OD clutch kicking in at low speeds. Try taking it on the highway and see if it happens. Mine used to do it at about 35 mph for a little while but now its stopped.
