Default TPMS = B.S.... Found a Solution

It actually looks like the solution found me. I'm not sure if it's permanent or not, but after ignoring the light for a few days it turned off on it's own and hasn't come back on. Has anybody else with an '08 (or any other year) experienced this? I'm hoping that it just gave up... or burned out.

Did your new rims affect the sensor?

Mine started coming on after I got the 20's put on. I talked to Ford and they told me that I would have to order another wheel. I told them that it's covered under warranty because it's an OEM part from the factory and they didn't agree and said I would still have to pay for a new wheel. I'm not worried about it now but the light is still coming on.

even though the light is off, the code is still there in the computer. if someone would hook the scanner up to it, that code would be present. they are right about enough key cycles making it go off.

Only in the sense that I didn't bother swapping the sensors to the new wheels.

I don't care if the code is in the computer, just as long as it stays there and doesn't find its way back to my dash.

I guess we'll have to see. Maybe the 2008's are different. Has anyone ever told you that you're a bit of a pessimist?
