I know some people have taken a piece of PVC pipe and built a little pipe bomb looking apparatus with some caps and an air nozzle and put the sensors inside and zip tied it underneath the truck.

Probably only $10 in parts, and it's out of your way. That's how a buddy of mine did it, it's worked for over a year now.

I have an 07 King Ranch and the notification that there is a failure comes up every time I start the truck. I just punch the reset button and drive on. The one time I had an issue with the tires was on a 2007 Escape. It had a 50 miles on it, and I was driving on the highway, the light came on and about one minute later the tire blow... not much of a safety item.

I know with the programmer I had on my last vehicle (Jeep Wrangler) I could reset the point at which it threw a fault. I did not have sensors in my aftermarket wheels, so I just set it to 0 PSI. Worked like a charm.
