Default Super cab rear doors

I've been driving my 2004 super cab for about 4 months now. Like the truck very much. I rode in the back seat once when I realiized that when you are in the back seat you can not get out unless the front seat passenger opens there door. I know, DUH but I guess what I was thinking is if there were an accident you are trapped if the person in the front dosen't open the door. I guess it's the same as with a two door car so I should not be concerned. Only thing that is a pain with the truck is parking in the parking lots and if you have someone in the back. Getting them out and then trying to shut the door is like an acrobatic routine. I now try to park far enough away so no one is next to me. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

I know what you mean I had the Ext cab on my 2000 Tundra. I felt trapped the few times I road in the back. I made sure when I purchased a new truck as in my 08 Ford I got the SC; I like the 4 real doors.

I bought my 04 supercab new and I wanted the 6.5 box. If they would have been offering it with the supercrews in 04, I would have definately got the s-crew. I don't like getting my kids out of the truck when I park. I usually park near the end of the row and we walk farther. It will be a Ford supercrew next time.

I agree 100%. Getting grocerys out of a cart or my one year old son out the back is a chore. It seemed like a wise choice when I bought my supercab (went from a reg cab '02XL) My wife was pregnant at the time so I thought we just needed "alittle more room" Long story short, some lady ended up t-boning us and I upgrades to a supercrew. Best new vehicle purchase I've ever made. I only wish my supercrew 4X4 had tube step bars. Anyone know where I can get Factory OEM Ford step bars for CHEAP?
