Here's a step-by-step on Seafoam treating an engine.

It is on a Ranger forum, but will work for F150s as well. There aren't any pictures, and most of the info is in the very first post. I've done it to my old Ranger, and used the other half of the can on a Silverado with some work done, and neither gave bad results. My Ranger (3.0 OHV) ran smoother afterwards.

There's 2 methods to this madness. First method: draw 1/3-1/2 can into engine via a vacuum line feeding all cylinders. Let set for 15 mins or so after shutting engine off. Start and drive vigorously. Caution fumes can be extreme for some time.
Method 2: they now make an aerosol can with a straw attached that you place into the intake tube a 1/4 on from throttle plate and spray approx 1/2 can into engine and the rest is the same as afore mentioned method.
First method I've done with good results the more smoke you have the more carbon that was in your engine that is now getting burnt and blown out the tail pipe. I'm about to try the second method and will report back in about an hour.

Ok so I just left o'rillys and they put it in for me. They put it in and told me to start it and poured the deadpan in while it was running. Then when after pouring it in the told me to blow it out and that was it besides pouring the rest of the can in the gas tank?? Is this the right way?
